When we launched the two-piece Amakuni razor, our goal was to keep things simple and accessible for everyone. We included a slotted screw that could easily be opened with a standard slottled screwdriver or the Muramasa key if you have one. However, we noticed that frequent opening and closing of the razor could result in visible marks, as the slotted screw's sharp edges tend to leave scratches. To address this issue and improve the overall quality, we have decided to upgrade to a more technical torx screw.

As a gesture of appreciation for your support, we will be sending one of these torx screws by mail to everyone who has ordered the Amakuni razor. Additionally, all new Amakuni SS and Ti razors will now come equipped with the updated torx T20 screw.
This enhancement is part of our continuous commitment to providing you with the best possible shaving experience. We believe this update will not only make your Amakuni razor more durable but also more aesthetically pleasing.
